Okay, I attended Stevens Dance Recital this year with the intention of enjoying our two daughters’ performances and to possibly capture a few adorable photographs of them. While there, many moms asked me to take photographs of their children. They wanted to know if they could see and possibly purchase the photographs I had taken. Prior to the last show on Sunday evening, I asked Mrs. Stevens if she minded me taking and showing the photographs. She agreed and graciously allowed me to be in the sound booth during the last show to take action photographs.
Long story, short…without prior planning, I tried to photograph as many performers as I could, both during performances and breaks. I really wanted to document the recital for Dr. and Mrs. Stevens, their family and staff. However, I’m sure I missed some performers. My sincerest apology if I missed your child. I also apologize for the volume of photographs with the Monday 6-7 year olds and the Wednesday 3-5 year olds…our daughters are in those classes. Unfortunately, I lost battery power at the end of the recital and missed the awards ceremony.
It was a wonderful weekend!!! I don’t normally photograph events like this one. However, I loved documenting the recital, capturing the beautiful (and handsome) dancers and I met my objective to enjoy the event and get a few adorable photographs of my daughters…and hopefully a few of your child as well.
If you see one you like, you may order photographs of the event; the price is $12.00 per sheet pre-tax (check event prices on event site for more pricing details). If you order through the online proofing service, they charge an additional 15% along with a $10.00 shipping and handling fee (please don't do this - I can't refund your money if you order through collages.net).
The best way to place an order is to email your order to
info@cherylkelly.net and use “Recital Photos” in the subject line. Or, you can call the studio at 217-245-2006 or stop by at 29 S. Central Park Plaza. The turnaround time will be 1-2 weeks after the order is placed. The order must be paid in full before we will place the order. We accept check, cash, Visa and MasterCard. Give us your feedback on the photos, if you like them we could possibly try to set up something more organized for next year.
